Veteran singer, composer, arranger, and educator Lauren Kinhan has been creating genre-smearing music for decades. Whether writing and producing her own records, touring as a member of the internationally renowned New York Voices, or passing her knowledge on to the next generation, Lauren’s fearless spirit shows no signs of slowing down. She met the moment during Covid when she and Janis Siegel rebranded their singer-centric live concert series to a virtual landscape. And then, post-pandemic, they are back at it producing shows in NYC. Vocal Gumbo is more than a concert. It’s a community that needs a forum to gather in and be reminded how much we need one another.
