David Amram

Every city in the USA could use the Village Trip as a model for how to restore their own neighborhood pride, create family -friendly events and opportunities for artists of all genres to celebrate the glorious days of September and be of help to all remaining local businesses who can be helped by the crowds of people who come to attend!

Janis Ian

The musicians and artists who gravitated toward Greenwich Village throughout the 60’s and even into the 70’s formed a group as diverse, eclectic, and talented as the artists who gravitated to Paris in the early 20th century. Their influence on our culture, and that of the world, cannot be overestimated. For New York to support such of them as remain, and honor the memory of those who are gone, is not only a good thing for the city – it is a right, and proper, thing for the city’s history and conscience.

Paul Rizzo, owner of The Bitter End

“It was a pleasure working with everyone and I hope next year is even more of a success. Just let me know when we want to do it again and we will make it happen. I’m sure that all the spirits that haunt this room were very happy with the performance that night as well.

“The best part was the glow on the audiences faces, which we all love to see. It was enjoyed by all. Thanks for a magical night.”

Bodies Electric: — William Anderson, John Chang, Adam Negrin, Kyle Miller - electric guitars

My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama: — Bruce Arnold, Greg Baker, Jane Getter, @genenoizepunkpritsker - electric guitars

The event takes its name from the historic St. Mark's Place venue The Electric Circus (1967-1971). Experimental bands such as The Velvet Underground, jam bands such as The Grateful Dead, soul acts such as Ike & Tina Turner, and avant-garde composers such as minimalists Terry Riley, Steve Reich, and Philip Glass, and electronic music pioneer Morton Subotnick, played at the club.

Other bands played there before they were famous, such as Deep Purple, The Allman Brothers Band, and Sly & the Family Stone. The site was also the venue for Andy Warhol's infamous "Exploding Plastic Inevitable."

The celebrated @horszowski_trio presents music from composers who have lived in and around Greenwich Village over the past six decades.

The Horszowski Trio (Jesse Mills, Ole Akahoshi and Rieko Aizawa) has been described as "eloquent and enthralling" by the Boston Globe and heralded as "the most compelling group to come on the scene" (The New Yorker). The Trio made its London debut in 2019 at a sold-out concert at Wigmore Hall, and has toured throughout America, Europe and the Far East.
