This history, and the continued fight for rights, even in 2026, is why The Village is one of the most incredible places in the world. Revolutionary voices like Stormé DeLarverie, Marsha P. Johnson, Sylvia Rivera, Bob Kohler, Dick Leitsch, The Gay Activists Alliance, S.T.A.R., and the Gay Liberation Front have given us so much.
