Anne Lovering Rounds is an associate professor of English at Hostos Community College, where she joined the faculty in 2012. Her scholarship has been published in The Journal of Beat Studies, Literary Imagination, Soundings, and Text Matters, among other journals. Her debut poetry collection, Variations in an Emergency, received the 2016 Cathlamet Prize for Poetry from Ravenna Press. She holds a doctorate in Comparative Literature from Harvard University, and honors bachelors’ degrees in English and Classics from the University of Chicago. Prior to her academic career, Professor Rounds was employed as an editorial assistant at the North American offices of Cambridge University Press. A committed amateur classical pianist, she has performed at Hostos and beyond.
