Starting at the site of the famed Eighth Street Bookstore, Marc Catapano will lead you down MacDougal Street and across Bleecker, visiting some of the places and pads where Beatniks dug their scene, including Washington Square Park, the Kettle of Fish, the San Remo, the Fat Black Pussy Cat, the Gaslight and Cafe Wha? The tour will also visit sites associated with such Beat luminaries as Alan Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac, Jackson Pollack, Lenny Bruce, Charlie Parker, Ted Joans and Diane DiPrima. Be there or be square!
