2025 saw a major advance in The Village Trip’s media reach, with review coverage in China and Hong Kong and features in Spain. Closer to home, Berkshire Fine Arts, Time Out, Trip Advisor, City Guide and The Skint, as well as specialist outlets such as Night After Night, Opera Wire, and New Music USA Newsletter all carried advance news of festival events

The New York Daily News picked out the festival’s signature free concert in Washington Square Park, with Kennedy Administration, as part of its “7 Things to Do in NYC This Weekend” feature.

In addition to the preview features in Village View, AMNY interviewed Jamie Bernstein, who talked about her engagement with the Village and with The Village Trip, as well as about her celebrated family and Bernstein Remix!, the all-star concert she curated as a benefit for Artful Learning. The feature, by photo-journalist Bob Krasner, also ran in the Villager, Chelsea Now, Manhattan Express, and Downtown Express. Jamie was also featured in programs on WBGO and WQXR.

Other radio coverage included Liz Thomson with Artist Emeritus David Amram and mezzo-soprano Eleanor Valkenburg on A Tempo with Rachel Katz on WWFM, and William Anderson was interviewed by Roger Humphrey on Creative Conversations.

The Village Trip’s opening concert, Village Voices, featuring premieres of music by David Amram, Carman Moore and Maria Thompson Corley sung by baritone James Martin, was reviewed in Classical Voice North America and New York Classical Review. For the same outlets, Ken Smith and Joanna Lee wrote extended reports on festival events.

Marc Kehoe, curator of The Village Trip’s annual art exhibition and designer of its posters, was interviewed on Cat Radio Café on WBAI, while the Village View’s Kaju Roberto followed him on his “Republic of Greenwich Village” walking tour.
