David Amram, Artist Emeritus of The Village Trip, along with a group of musicians and friends launch The Village Trip 2023, a two-week-plus extravaganza of music, art, poetry, walks, talks and much more. A fun family-friendly street party to herald our fifth neighborhood festival.
The Village Trip 2023 kicks off its 16-day run with a grand party on Eighth Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Join the legendary David Amram, Village Trip Artist Emeritus and “the renaissance man of American music”, as he toots his horn to summon us all to the revelries.
David will be joined by a host of musician friends, among them, Jerome Harris, Kevin Twigg, Rene Hart and Adam Amram. And after leading a children’s songwriting class at Greenwich House Music School, revered singer-songwriter David Roth, whose song “Rocket Science” went up on the Space Shuttle Atlantis’s May 2009 mission to repair the Hubble Telescope, will join the party.
Who knows who else may stop by to jam or rap!
