David Amram, Artist Emeritus of The Village Trip, along with a group of musicians and friends launch The Village Trip 2023, a two-week-plus extravaganza of music, art, poetry, walks, talks and much more. A fun family-friendly street party to herald our fifth neighborhood festival.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Village Trip 2023 kicks off its 16-day run with a grand party on Eighth Street<\/strong> between Fifth and Sixth Avenues. Join the legendary David Amram<\/strong>, Village Trip Artist Emeritus and \u201cthe renaissance man of American music\u201d, as he toots his horn to summon us all to the revelries.<\/p>\n

David will be joined by a host of musician friends, among them, Jerome Harris, Kevin Twigg, Rene Hart <\/strong>and Adam Amram<\/strong>. And after leading a children\u2019s songwriting class at Greenwich House Music School, revered singer-songwriter David Roth<\/strong>, whose song \u201cRocket Science\u201d went up on the Space Shuttle Atlantis\u2019s May 2009 mission to repair the Hubble Telescope, will join the party.<\/p>\n
