HB Studio hosts a conversation with Cherry Lane Alternative Founding Artistic Director Angelina Fiordellisi, Managing Director\/Cherry Lane Theatre historian Mary Geerlof, and playwrights of the Cherry Lane Mentor Project: Anton Dudley<\/a>, David Henry Hwang<\/a>, Lisa Ramirez<\/a>, and Alfred Uhry<\/a>. Founded in 1923 as the Cherry Lane Playhouse, the Cherry Lane Theatre marks its 100th anniversary this year. Fiordellisi has recently passed the theatre\u2019s torch to A24, the indie film company that produced Everything Everywhere All at Once<\/em> and Moonlight<\/em>. The panel will reflect on the Cherry Lane\u2019s remarkable history as a Greenwich Village home for new plays and playwrights, on the CLT Mentor Project, the current state of Off-Broadway, and the future we can imagine for the theater from here.<\/p>\n
